FAQ

  • No GP referral is required to see a physio.

  • If you are referred by your GP on a Chronic Disease Management Plan (previously known as Enhanced Primary Care Scheme), you may be eligible for a Medicare rebate for up to five (5) allied health treatments per year. These treatments are specified by your GP and must be directly related to your condition.

  • Depending on the details of your policy, you might be able to receive a rebate from your private health insurance on your treatment. We recommend contacting your private health fund to determine your level of cover. Provider and item numbers can be provided upon request.

Our practice has HICAPS which lets you claim your health fund rebate at the clinic on the spot, leaving on the gap to pay. Please bring your health fund card with you to all of your appointments.

  • Payment is required at the time of your appointment. If you need to cancel your appointment, we ask that you provide adequate notice (at least 24-hours if possible). Please check the appointment cancellation policy as there may be fees associated with missed appointments, no-shows and late cancelations.

  • This varies case-by-case. It will depend on the service you are receiving and your personal requirements. Please speak to me about the service you require and the duration that will best support your care.

New Patients please allow up to 60mins for your Initial Consultation.

  • Please bring any referral letters and relevant x-rays, scans or other medical test results such relevant to your injury. This will help me make your session as personalised and best-informed as possible.

  • For ease of examination, please wear comfortable clothing or bring a change of clothes that allows me to adequately view and assess the injured area. This is particularly pertinent for injuries of the shoulder/thoracic spine region and the hip/knee region.

I regularly incorporated exercise therapy and rehabilitation into my consultations, therefore access to clothing and footwear that allows you to move freely and comfortably while performing function tasks or exercises may be required.

  • Yes, but please be aware you will be required to bring your claim number, date of accident and employer’s full details including name, address and insurance company. Please note that all accounts are the responsibility of the patient and that Workcover and MVIT may only partially cover the costs of services at this clinic.

  • This varies case by case. Thanks to the magic of technology, I can help you remotely. Unfortunately, technology isn’t quite advanced enough for me to perform physical assessments by Telehealth. But, after your Initial Assessment I can offer follow-up appointments by Telehealth to help you stay on track.
